Slow Cooker Pork Carnitas

 

Ingredients ,,,

1 tbsp olive oil

4-5 pounds boneless pork loin

1 cup beer

3 tbsp lime juice

1 medium onion diced

4 garlic gloves minced

2 tsp cumin

1 tsp Black pepper

1/2 tsp oregano

1 tsp chili powder

1 1/2 tsp salt

 

Heat oil in a large pan over high heat.  Add the pork & sear on each side until brown about 1 to 2 minutes per side, Transfer Pork to crock pot.

Add remaining ingredients over pork loin, cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or until Pork is completely tender and shreds with a fork.

Take pork loin out of crock pot and shred with a fork. Place pork back in crock pot and stir

Serve

Flour shells or corn shells

Serve pork carnitas over toasted flour shells, turn on oven burner place flour shell on flame, heat until crisp flip and repeat

Garnish with

sour cream, salsa, diced tomatoes & fresh diced cilantro
