1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 large onion minced
1/2 cup fennel with greens minced
2 garlic gloves minced
1 lb hot Italian sausage crumbled
3 cups 5 cheese tomato sauce
2 cups fat free half & half
1/2 grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp oregano
1 tsp salt
1 lb penne pasta
Heat olive oil over medium heat. Saute onions, garlic & fennel for 10-15 minutes or until
golden brown. Stir frequently, add sausage to the pan, stir & brown.
Once the sausage has browned, add tomato sauce, half & half, cheese, oregano & salt
Increase heat, bring sauce to a boil, turn to simmer cook 10 minutes
Drop penne in boiling water & cook until at dente. Drain pasta in colander
Add pasta in with sauce & toss to coat
Serve immediantly
