I make tons of sauce so I can freeze it
It’s truly tasty!
2 lbs ground beef extra lean 95%-drain grease
1 tbsp olive oil
5 cups yellow onions diced
2 large green peppers diced with seeds
5 garlic gloves minced
1 cup red wine I used Pinot Noir
1 28 oz whole tomatoes chopped with juice
1 28 oz crushed tomatoes
1 4 oz can tomato paste
2 45 oz jars marinara sauce I used Prego traditional
1 tbsp dried oregano
5 bay leaves
1 tbsp sugar
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
2 tbsp dried parsley
1/2 cup reduced grated Parmesan cheese
1 box Spaghetti , cooked Ale Dente & tossed with olive oil
In a sauce pan over medium heat brown the ground beef, drain, set aside
In a large pot add olive oil, onions, garlic & peppers, saute till nice & tender
for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring frequently
Add all ingredients in same pot as the veggies
Increase the heat to medium, until the sauce gets warm & a little bubbly
lower heat to simmer, cook all day long, If sauce is thick, cover pot with lid
Stir sauce throughout the day
Serve with toasted garlic bread & a nice green salad
So Damn Delish!
