Basic Marinara Sauce

2 tbsp olive oil

2 garlic gloves minced

15 oz tomato sauce

28 oz crushed tomatoes

1/4 red wine

1 tbsp sugar

1 tbsp dried basil

1 tbsp dried oregano

salt & pepper

pinch red pepper flakes

 

Saute onions & garlic, till nice & tender in large pot

Add add remaining ingredients, cook on medium heat for 20 minutes

Puree marinara sauce with a hand mixer or blender

Simmer for another 30 minutes

 

Serve with lasagna, stuff shells, spaghetti, fettuccine or your any pasta!
